Who we are
This website is operated by SMART EDU ONLINE LTD (company number 13282889), registered in England and Wales at Flat 5 Upton Court, 21 Alwynn Walk, Birmingham, England, B23 7YY, United Kingdom, trading as BOB AI. For the purposes of UK and EU data protection law, SMART EDU ONLINE LTD is the data controller for the personal data described in this policy. We are registered with the UK Information Commissioner's Office under registration number ZB029029.
What we collect
When you use the contact form on this site, we collect:
- Your name
- Your email address
- The content of your message
- Your IP address and the date/time of submission, recorded automatically for spam prevention and security
We do not use cookies, analytics, or any other tracking technology on this site. No data is collected from you beyond what you actively submit through the contact form.
Why we collect it
We use this information solely to respond to your enquiry and to correspond with you about a potential or ongoing engagement. The legal basis for this processing is our legitimate interest in responding to enquiries submitted to us and, where a contract is discussed or formed, the performance of that contract.
How it's handled
Submissions are sent by email to our office inbox (office@smarteduonline.co.uk) and are not stored in a separate database on this website. The site is hosted with Hostinger, and our email and office systems are provided by Microsoft 365 and Google.
Some of these providers process data outside the United Kingdom. Where that happens, the transfer is covered by appropriate safeguards — the UK International Data Transfer Agreement (IDTA) or the UK Addendum to the EU Standard Contractual Clauses. We share your data with service providers only under confidentiality obligations, and with authorities where we are legally required to do so. We do not sell your personal data.
How long we keep it
Where an enquiry leads to a contract, we retain customer records for six years after the end of that contract, in line with our legal and accounting obligations. Technical logs, including IP addresses captured by the contact form, are kept for twelve months. Where you have consented to marketing contact, we keep those records until you withdraw consent.
Your rights
Under UK GDPR and, where applicable, EU GDPR, you have the right to:
- Ask what personal data we hold about you and receive a copy of it
- Ask us to correct inaccurate data
- Ask us to delete your data
- Object to or restrict how we use your data
- Request that your data be provided to you in a portable format

If you are not satisfied with our response, you can lodge a complaint with the UK Information Commissioner's Office (ico.org.uk, registration ZB029029) or, if you are based in the EU, with your local data protection supervisory authority.
Security
The contact form includes automated spam-filtering safeguards, and we take reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect the data you send us against unauthorized access, loss or misuse.
Children
This website and its services are directed at businesses, not children. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children.
